John Dangerfield

Andrew Schloss and John Dangerfield have between them over 40 years of experience in the aged care, disability services, community care, health care and retirement village sectors.

Their experiences include 10 years of owning and managing home based services. Since 2001 they have consulted to these sectors, providing support, advice, education and training. Andrew and John have decided to take their own advice and have established a service which operates with a clearly defined vision and stated values and ethics. These vision, values and ethics are at the heart of what we do, day in and day out.

This is evident in naming the service Beacon Support.


Like a beacon we seek to be a shining light in people’s lives, providing safe and enduring service, recognised by all as a leader in the field.


Beacon Support in all its dealings with stakeholders will value and encourage:

When providing support or care services to a person, the following ethical standpoints will be adopted. Beacon Support will:

  • Support a person to deal with life and death, honouring their choices
  • Uphold and support a person’s spiritual and cultural beliefs and practices
